Happy Birthday DF!

Hello there! I'm back, with fresh news from the Dream Factory!

Another year has passed and we are delighted that you still love to join us! That's why we want to celebrate our Blog Birthday with you!
For our birthday you can win some little prices at each design team blog - Yeah :))

This month we have a double theme: Twilight + Halloween.
You can show us anything concerning vampires, werewolves, love or simply Halloween.

To win one of these little somethings, simply go to the Design Team blogs and leave a comment there
.....so you are automatically in "the pot"  ;)

Bettina - Conny - Simi - Andrea - Vicky ....and of course me!

.... and here is my creepy little card  (ôô)

For the background and moon I used grey and black ink and for the solar eclipse orange ink and yellow felt-tip pen.
The bats are made with a homemade stencil and black felt-tip pen.
The trees are Katzelkraft stamps but the sentiment is handwritten. I punched a key (from Obsession Impression) twice, to use only the key head on each end of the sentiment panel.
The final image is layered with a black cardbord on a white card, whose edges have been stamped with a Stampin'Up stamp and grey ink.

Here is the price you can win on my blog!

It's not a very big thing - some stickers and stamped images, lot of die-cuts
and of course the halloween card I made.

I hope you want to win this little something -  you just have to leave a comment
and I will draw a random person among all!

Now, it's up to you!
.....we are looking forward to your creations!

Happy stamping, knitting, sewing and....  GOOD LUCK! ;)

Embroidered sieve.

Hello everyone.
Today I'd like you to show something unusual from me ^^
....but first, I am happy to welcome my new follower June Macfarlane (sorry, no blog found)

I saw some embroidered sieves on Pinterest and I wanted to make one - just to see.
Because the thing is vaulted, you can not as easily work the back, as with an embroidery hoop, each end of embroidery thread should be immediately hidden by the following, otherwise it is not possible!   .....or you must end your work with many knots --- not very clean!
This little thing cost me a lot of nerves, but when it was finished, I was really happy with the result!

Here is a closer view (please click to enlarge)
..........
I hope you did like this somewhat unusual thing.

Very simple card, eh!

.... BUT, if you pull the tab, colorful blooms come to light!
The blue pattern are stamped with Stazon on acetate and attached to the colorful paper, by using the tab.
This tutorial shows very well how such a card is made.

Bye for now....

Stamps: Stampin'Up, WOJ,
Inks: Stazon, Stampin'Up
Dies: Stampin'Up, Memory Box,
Punch: Stampin'Up
Acetat, patterned paper, foam pads

Gatefold card

Hi everyone!

We are the first of the month and this means there is a new challenge at House of Cards. In this challenge we want to do some folding, but don't be afraid -- it's a very easy thing!
Do you know Gatefold cards?? ----- because this is what we would love to see  ;)

Look here is mine.....

It was very easy to do --- one folding on the left and the same on the right and I had my base card!
I cut two panels from my homemade patterned paper (one for each gate) and I also cut a square from a white cardstock in which I cut another square to get a matching frame. Then I embossed the frame and inked it with "TEAL" from Colorbox. Next, I cut a square of corrugated paper in the same size as the square "inside the frame"--- at the same time I reduced the small white square of a few millimeters and glued it together with the corrugated paper.

To finish, I stamped the images and fixed the square with the frame to the card. ( The frame on the left gate and the square on the right gate)
The very last thing was to add the die-cut and some shimmer!

I hope you like it .....

Now, look at this picture and create a gatefold card and/or use the colors.

Happy folding! 😉
